What’s Working on LinkedIn Right Now
One of the most common questions I’m asked is, “How does the LinkedIn algorithm actually work?” Working across multiple accounts and staying close to platform trends gives you some insight. Here’s what I’m seeing that’s driving visibility and impact:
✅ Relevance > Virality
✅ Strategic networks drive better content performance
✅ Consistency still wins
✅ Real stories and insights > generic advice
✅ Quality engagement matters
✅ Newsletters are building high-value, loyal audiences
But here’s the thing none of it works if you don’t show up. And I’ve seen firsthand that the biggest blocker isn’t ability it’s digital confidence.
From senior leaders to emerging experts, many hold back from LinkedIn because:
🔹 “I don’t know what to say”
🔹 “What if I get it wrong?”
🔹 “I don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard”
The truth? You don’t need to be loud or post daily. But you do need to be visible, intentional, and clear about your value.

Decoding The LinkedIn Feed
One of the most common topics I am asked about is the LinkedIn algorithm.
LinkedIn doesn’t openly share how the algorithm works in its entirety but when you’re working across multiple client accounts, having regular conversations with peers, and staying close to platform trends, you start to spot what’s working (and what’s not).
Here’s what I’m seeing right now if visibility and reach are part of your strategy.
- Prioritising Relevance Over Virality
- Your Network Connections Drive Visibility
- Expertise Signals Expand Your Reach
- Commenting Beyond The Surface
- Quality of Engagement Over Quantity
- Low-Quality Content Gets Demoted
The algorithm is always evolving but the core principle and advice remains the same: create content that’s useful, relevant, and credible to your audience. You can read more about this here.
In working with clients, I’ve been seeing what’s actually performing on LinkedIn from a content perspective.
6 Content Shifts I’m Seeing on LinkedIn
The platform continues to shift but some content patterns are consistent. If you want your content to be seen and drive results, here’s what I’m seeing work right now:
Content performs better when it aligns with your profile
Your profile matter but not just from a digital-first impression perspective. When your content reinforces the message your profile communicates, it builds credibility and performs better.
A strong, strategic, relevant network leads to stronger performance and more meaningful interaction
It’s not about how many people see your post – it’s not even about how many people engage with it – it is about who engages with it. Content performs better when the people relevant to the post are engaging with it.
Consistency continues to deliver results
The content that drives reach isn’t always flashy but it’s consistent. Regular posting builds visibility, trust, and momentum over time.
Experience-led content is performing
Content grounded in real stories, lessons, or observations resonates more than generic advice. People respond to what feels real, not rehearsed.
Newsletters are building high-value audiences
One of the most effective ways to go deeper and stay visible. Thoughtful newsletters, delivered regularly, builds authority and trust along with increasing your post visibility.
Strategic networks lift content performance
When your audience is aligned with your message, your content does more. The right connections make all the difference.
If you’re reading this thinking, “I know I should be doing more of this, but I don’t have the time,” that’s exactly what we help with.
Our Done-for-You LinkedIn Content Service is designed for professionals who want visibility and consistency without the overwhelm.

Developing Digital Confidence
I was working with a leadership team recently, and when it came to showing up online, they were stuck.
These were smart thinkers – highly capable, strategic professionals. But when it came to LinkedIn? They stalled.
- Profiles were outdated or missing altogether
- Posts? Rare, inconsistent, or avoided completely
- Comments? Held back, even when they had something valuable to add
And when we dug into why, the responses were honest and familiar:
- “I don’t know what to say.”
- “I’m worried I’ll get it wrong.”
- “What if people think I’m bragging?”
- “I don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard.”
- “What if it backfires?”
This wasn’t a capability gap. It was a confidence gap. You can read more about what we did here.

LinkedIn for Lawyers

Earlier this month I presented “Leveraging LinkedIn for Lawyers” at Law Biz Conference, held at the stunning QT Hotel on the sunny Gold Coast to a room full of practical conversations and smart people genuinely looking to grow.
Lawyers usually aren’t needed all the time.
But when they are, they want to be the first thought. The first found. The first call. And in today’s world, that starts online.
Because if people don’t know what you do, who you help, and how to get in touch they’re not picking up the phone. They’re moving on to someone else who made it easy.
LinkedIn isn’t about doing things for the sake of it. It’s about being present, clear, and findable so when the moment comes, you’re top of mind.
A big thank you to the entire team for such a beautifully run event in a stunning venue with an awesome vibe and engaged attendees – it’s definitely been one of my favorites!
LinkedIn for Women in Construction
I also presented at Sydney Build Expo, where I delivered a workshop, Professional Branding for Women in Construction. During the session, I shared the story of someone I worked with recently.
She had the qualifications. She had years of experience. She had insights. But when a state-level industry panel was being put together, her name didn’t even come up.
And it wasn’t because she wasn’t capable. It was because no one outside her immediate team really knew what she did. Meanwhile, someone else with half the experience got the opportunity – simply because they were more visible.
That’s the difference visibility can make, and it’s exactly what we unpacked in the workshop.
- You don’t need to post every day.
- You don’t need to become a massive personal brand.
- But you do need a clear and intentional digital presence that keeps you visible. You don’t need to post every day.
You don’t need to become a massive personal brand. But you do need a clear and intentional digital presence that keeps you visible.
One that shows who you are, what you do, and the value you bring in a way that’s easy for the right people to find and understand. You can check out some photos from the event here.
“The people who get hired, promoted, invited and trusted don’t need to be the loudest. But they do need to be visible, credible, and intentional. And it all starts with showing up – before you need to.”
Also, a big thank you to World Commerce & Contracting for having me deliver LinkedIn for Career Professionals where we discussed exactly how to do that and so much more.
