The clients who comment aren’t always the ones who convert.
Some of the best projects I’ve worked on came from people I hadn’t seen engage in months. No likes. No reactions. No comments. Nothing public at all.
Then one day, they show up in my inbox. “I’ve been meaning to reach out. I’ve been reading your posts for a while.”
And just like that, a quiet reader becomes a client. They weren’t liking posts or joining conversations.
They were watching. Silently. Regularly.
Sometimes for weeks. Sometimes longer.
You can’t measure LinkedIn success by surface-level signals. It’s not about going viral. It’s about staying visible. It’s not about performance. It’s about consistency.
Because your next client? Might be one of the quiet ones. Stay consistent. Stay visible. When the timing’s right, they’ll reach out.
Because they already know who to trust.
it was great to have the opportunity to present “How to Master Your LinkedIn Presence” for the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) here in Brisbane.
A huge thank you to Swastika Samanta and Jamie Reilly for inviting me and for creating such a supportive space for professionals to learn, grow, and connect. It was a great evening with a full room, good energy, and loads of insightful questions.
I loved seeing the curiosity in the room and the genuine interest in building stronger digital first impressions.
During the session, we explored:
✅ Creating a standout profile: Because your LinkedIn profile is more than a resume, it’s your digital-first impression. We looked at how to use keywords and structure so that you are first thought of, found and contacted in your field.
✅ Developing a consistent content presence: Content isn’t about going viral; it’s about showing up regularly, adding value, and building your reputation over time.
✅ Growing your network intentionally: We talked about how connections aren’t just numbers. When you slow it down, and have real conversations, that’s where meaningful relationships start.
What stood out most was the enthusiasm in the room and not just for learning, but for action. As someone who’s been working in this space for 10+ years, it’s always a privilege to share but it’s even more rewarding when people take that learning and run with it!
LinkedIn for Events
I’ve been having lots of conversations about LinkedIn for events from organisers wanting to drive visibility and engagement, to exhibitors heading to upcoming tradeshows, and everyone in between. Whether you’re hosting, exhibiting, or attending LinkedIn can help you get more out of every event:
✨ More visibility
🤝 More connections
📈 More business outcomes Yet LinkedIn is often underused in the event space.
